After recalling the historical context and presenting the letter globally, Paul's epistle is studied from the first to the last verse according to a plan announced at the outset. Paul's contribution is systematically highlighted in two respects: the knowledge of Christ he brings us, and his manner of exhorting its recipients to live a truly Christian life in a multicultural society. The final chapter resumes "the major themes of the Epistle to the Romans".
